Mzizi
Breif: Create an unusual product comprised of mushrooms and develop its branding/story.
Mzizi, meaning “the Root” in Swahili, is a mycelium-based stationery brand inspired by traditional Maasai craftsmanship and my experiences growing up in Kenya, where I witnessed the environmental impact of single-use plastics within developing communities. The project explores mycelium as a low-cost, biodegradable material for accessible stationery products while supporting rural communities through initiatives that improve access to essential learning resources.
